[oi-dev] How to get build-essential for older OS release.

Hi

In General if you want to develop drivers for your HBA's we are happy 
that you do, but could you please do so on a modern OS basis? I don't 
know why one of your customers wants to still use the Old OpenIndiana 
version or why you still want to but in general that sounds like a 
really bad idea. We do not provide security updates for such older 
versions and are definetly not paid to do so. So you are on your own 
there and are essentially ontop of your own fork. You can do that but we 
do not provide gratis support for backporting. If you want to make 
drivers for illumos to sell your HBA's please use the current upstream 
version or develop together with illumos folks inside of illumos-gate.
