Hi Gary,
I had the same problem with xsreensaver, and I was the one
who did that last #PR for it. It's now at version: 6.16 - right ?
You need to install the xscreensaver/hacks* packages, and
your list should read this:
desktop/xscreensaver 6.16-2026.0.0.0
i--
desktop/xscreensaver/hacks 6.16-2026.0.0.0
i--
desktop/xscreensaver/hacks/hacks-gl 6.16-2026.0.0.0
i--
Afterwards, logout/login of the system, and fireup the properties,
somewhere in them there is a button, where you can choose
which background color you do want to have, just choose black.
I guess this feature has been fixed upstream, which was working
out of the box before. Hope that helps.
For that timezone change I'd rather ask at illumos-dev
BTW. thanks again for doing all the work you did for SPARC !!!
Since, yeseterday I do have a kernel running pn BL1000 which
was assemled using GAS :-)
