We use use Sun/Solaris Studio 12.2 for our internal application development IDE but for compiler options within Sun Studio we use gnu gcc. I've debated comparing the processing speed of gcc built binaries vs Sun/Oracle compiler builds our our applications but haven't done that yet. - Ron
