[OpenIndiana-discuss] Idea for stable release

I just read the idea put forth to create a stable release off 148 now as opposed to waiting for the full illumos integration.

I like the ideas presented, especially tracking apache, php, and other software in centos 6 as a means if simplifying keeping up with security updates. It also has the benefit of making it easy for those working in both environments to move some things around at will (at least when centos 6 itself is fully released too).

I hope this gains traction.
