Hi,
I'm using oi 148 as my main desktop OS.
Recently I changed my gpu from GeForce 9600GT to radeon hd 6850 and now I
got problems with gnome. First, after I logged in, the screen went
completely white, what is strange that gnome was working fine I was able to
start terminal or open firefox but I couldn't see anything (screen was
white). I managed to fix this problem by uninstalling the compiz.
After that I tried to run gnome one more time using vesa driver and it has
started but I couldn't set 1920x1080 resolution. So I generated new
xorg.conf and I moved It to /etc/X11/. This time gnome didn't start at all
even though I changed the driver to 'radeon' and from what I saw in
Xorg.0.log, it has managed to load module successfully but at the end I got
fatal error which is linked with section 'screen' in xorg.conf.
I also did following things:
1. #pkg uninstall nvidia
2. #pkg uninstall compiz
I attached Xorg.0.log and xorg.conf. Thanks for the help in advance.
