[OpenIndiana-discuss] rpool not using full extended partition after reinstall

I reinstalled OpenIndiana on one of my machines. It had been in the
first extended partition which was about 20GiB. After reinstalling it
is closer to 8, but the extended partition size is the same. Is there
any way to fix this?

I don't recall which OI device rpool was originally on c3...something.
But it currently shows up as c3d0s0. Running format shows it as:

   c3d0 <Unknown-Unknown-0001 cyl 1042 alt 2 hd 255 sec 63>

and partition print displays:

Current partition table (original):
Total disk cylinders available: 1042 + 2 (reserved cylinders)

Part      Tag    Flag     Cylinders        Size            Blocks
 0       root    wm       1 - 1041        7.97GB    (1041/0/0) 16723665
 1 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0
 2     backup    wu       0 - 1041        7.98GB    (1042/0/0) 16739730
 3 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0
 4 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0
 5 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0
 6 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0
 7 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0
 8       boot    wu       0 -    0        7.84MB    (1/0/0)       16065
 9 unassigned    wm       0               0         (0/0/0)           0

but fdisk show the following information for the extended partitions:

Number of cylinders in disk : 30401
Beginning cylinder of extended partition : 12814
Ending cylinder of extended partition : 30401

Part# StartCyl EndCyl Length % Part ID (Type)
=====   ========   ========   =======   ===   ==============
5 12814 15425 2612 9 191 (Solaris2)
6 15425 29356 13932 46 191 (Solaris2)
7 29357 30401 1045 3 130 (Solaris)

Any idea what's up?

Thanks,
