I think there is also Xfce desktop environment, inside SFE publisher
(http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Spec+Files+Extra+Repository) and Xfce
might be good alternative for migration.

That (SFE) could also be the place for putting even more desktop
environments in the work for OpenIndiana.
