[OpenIndiana-discuss] gcc 4.x on OpenIndiana 151

I have just completed a new install of oi-151 and I would like to have a copy of gcc 4.x installed for compiling misc items.

Performing a

# pkg search gcc

shows only the 3.4.x stuff.

I did a search of the FAQ and wiki without any solid results.  I did come across this page specifically

http://wiki.openindiana.org/oi/Spec+Files+Extra+Repository

which warns against using the gcc 4.x from the OpenSolaris repository.

If the answer is in the standard docs, sorry, I missed them.
