[OpenIndiana-discuss] How to decrease mouse sensitivity?

I have a desktop running oi_151a that I originally used with a Sun
3-button USB optical mouse. When I replaced that with a common
3-button USB optical mouse with a scroll wheel, I noticed that the new
mouse was too sensitive. Moving the Acceleration slider in the Mouse
Preferences GUI to the slow setting had some effect. The Sensitivity
slider had no effect at all. Even with both at the minimum, I could
move the pointer the whole width of the screen by moving the mouse
only about 3 cm.

I did try creating an xorg.conf and making some changes to it that
should have decreased the sensitivity. In this section:

    Section "InputDevice"
    	Identifier "Mouse0"
    	Driver "mouse"
    	Option "Protocol" "auto"
    	Option "Device" "/dev/mouse"
    	Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5 6 7"
    EndSection

I tried:

	Option "ConstantDeceleration" "3

and:

	Option "Sensitivity" "0.2"

Neither of these made any difference. They were also not mentioned in
the Xorg log /var/log/Xorg.?.log, although the use of the
configuration file was. Is there a better solution for this annoying
problem? It's running `X.Org X Server 1.7.7'.
