[OpenIndiana-discuss] open Indiana 15a on supermicro X8SIL-F

Hi all, maybe the usual advice would work: try to disable ACPI by 
editing the GRUB boot line when the installer is booting and adding 
-acpi-user-config=0x2 ?

If that works and you can install, you might then try to use the 
"eeprom" command to see what levels work for you.
0x2 is completely disabled.
0x4 allows hyperthreading
0x8 is the older Solaris 10 ACPI behaviour (not sure on the version)
