Webmin is the past.

Management API's are the future. SmartOS is doing some compelling things in this sphere that are worth looking at.

With a management API on every system, bolting a web interface to it to manage one or many systems becomes a much more manageable objective. Or, better still, do away with the ad hoc administration and use a state management engine like chef, puppet, cfengine, etc.
