[OpenIndiana-discuss] preserve configuration files on image-update - how?

... maybe as a small afterthought: I simply went back to a previous BE, saved the configuration to a backup directory myself, reran the image-update command, rebooted and recovered the configuration files. Simple, elegant, secure - thanks for creating OpenIndiana, guys!
