As a side note, similarly incomplete code (so that my patch should fit with little modification) was found in solaris10 zone brand in illumos-gate:

This is out of bug's scope (different repo at least), but if the fix for ipkg is okay (where should i post it for RTI by the way?), the fix for illumos-gate counterpart should be simple.
