[OpenIndiana-discuss] Cannot upgrade from 148 to 151a8

Trying to upgrade from verison 148 to the latest I get the following error.

WARNING: pkg(5) appears to be out of date, and should be updated before
running image-update.  Please update pkg(5) using 'pfexec pkg install
pkg:/package/pkg' and then retry the image-update.

But if I update pkg from
pkg list package/pkg
NAME (PUBLISHER)                              VERSION         STATE      UFOXI
package/pkg                                   0.5.11-0.148    installed  u----

to
NAME (PUBLISHER)                              VERSION         STATE      UFOXI
package/pkg                                   0.5.11-0.148    installed  u----

(Yes it reports the same version)

I get the error.

# pkg image-update -fnv
Creating Plan -

Is it possible to upgrade to an interim version, e.g. 151a7 or any other workarounds that would be simply to perform on a fairly vitial production server?
