You can always force it the old fashioned way, like I had to do yesterday.

In /etc/hostname.bge0  (or whatever your NIC name is):

192.168.0.2 netmask 255.255.255.0

If you need to force the default router, simply put its IP Address in /etc/defaultrouter, like:

192.168.0.1
