[OpenIndiana-discuss] SMF services timeout on QEMU

Hello list,

I am running OpenIndiana 151 a8 server build (32 bit x86) VM on qemu [1.0,
1.1, 1.7, 2.0]. When i use the tcg accelerator instead of KVM or Xen  a lot
of SMF services timeout.

svc.startd[10] svc:/network/location:default: Method or service exit time
out. Killing contract 82
svc.startd[10] svc:/network/location:default Method
"/lib/svc/method/net-loc start" failed due to signal KILL
This particular message is repeated with many contract numbers (i guess it
is getting restarted ?)

Its not just network/location but a whole lot of other methods are also
running into issues. such as

   - svc:/network/routing-setup:default:  ->
   /lib/svc/method/network-routing-setup
   - svc: /application/opengl/ogl-select:default (OpenGL runtime select) -
   /lib/svc/method/ogl-select
   - svc: /system/dbus:default (D-BUS message bus)
   - svc: /system/filesystem/root (root file system mount)


Can anyone tell me what do all these error messages mean? Also what the
minimum set of services needed for OpenSolaris (with networking)?
