My attempts with this driver always ends up with in Xorg.0.log:

for that I updated nvidia pkg recipe:
https://github.com/cgrzemba/oi-userland/tree/oi/hipster/components/nvidia
 
but this is removed in branch openindina/oi/hipster now.
