[OpenIndiana-discuss] Problem with Hipster 2016.10 GUI on ESXi 6.5

Actually there is.

Install a normal Text install and VMware Tools.

Install the Package mate_install (this installs all GUI Applications)

Optional Setup and Start vtdaemon to have console access if gui should fail.

Then Start lightdm via svcadm.
