Hi,
for my work I need a resource manager like DQS/Sun Grid Engine and
unfortunately it seems that alternatives are very scarce on illumos.
The most popular nowadays are Torque and SLURM: the former is a bit in
decline but used to be portable while the second was not written to be
portable originally (L stands for Linux).
I am trying to add support for one of them and spent some time fixing
compilation issue.
If anyone is interested in looking at this with me:
- Torque 6.1.0: https://github.com/alarcher/oi-userland/commits/torque610
(I have not finished patching src/resmom, I have a patchset for 5.1.1 also)
- SLURM 16.05.6: https://github.com/alarcher/oi-userland/commits/slurm
Kind regards
Aurelien
