[OpenIndiana-discuss] Samba compile

So far I'm working on https://github.com/OpenIndiana/oi-userland/pull/4397 , but it needs work, something is wrong with signal handling (daemons exit trying to setup SIGTERM handlers).

Hello everybody,

for some reasons I need a samba version > 4.6 ideally a 4.8.x Version.

Compiling from source shouldn/t be an issue, but I ran into a problem regarding gnutls.

Despite the fact that gnutls is installed the configure script claims missing gnutls.

So far, I couldn't find out where the configuire script actually searches for gnutls ;-(

Did anybody compile samba 4 on openindiana (somebody did for sure, as there is a samba package available)?

Perhaps the package maitainer has a hint for me?
