Back then when I checked there was a difference between Solaris and illumos
w.r.t files without probes.
Solaris skips them whereas illumos throws an error.
I found the patch that allowed me to build and install VirtualBox 5.1.6
back then, attached for reference.
It was usable besides some issues with the clipboard and USB devices.
