[OpenIndiana-discuss] Hipster bus errors when globbing

This was weird. Activating smartd started this weirdness, the SSD's
spewed hard errors as hell, as smartd doesn't obviously understand
how to access them correctly (although they are listed as supported).
On every access, a new smartd started, disabling the service did not
help. After a while, some resources got sparse, causing the tcsh to
misbehave. Killing the smartds the hard way and then starting a new
shell finally stopped the madness.
So smartd is somehow seriously broken. On access, I get messages
entries:

and hard errors logged. Using the pedestrians approach
'smartctl -a -dsat,12 /dev/rdsk/cxxxx'  works without any problems.
The SSDs are SAMSUNG-MZ7KM240HAGR-00005 240 GB.
