[OpenIndiana-discuss] posting on newsgroup

I've signed up for the mail list probably 3-4 weeks ago.

I posted on it using the mailling address a couple of times
successfully.

I thought once I had the mailling group dialed in, I would be able to
post to the gmane newsgroup.

Is that supposed to be allowed once you are a mailling list member? Or
do you have to go thru the maillist to get a message onto the newsgroup?
