[OpenIndiana-discuss] image-update fails with python mediator errors

Trying to update 2020.10 to 2021.10 as usual with pkg image-update and it is failing with:

I realise there is bug for this: https://www.illumos.org/issues/14772

I am trying to work out what I need to do to either get around this - somewhat urgent as I have to update to be able to install something else and currently all pkg updates return this error.
