Just minor nit:  unless you have some reason doing otherwise the above
should not be non-sticky.

I was asking about /var/pkg/cache/publisher, not /var/pkg/publisher.
Anyway, since you have no userland publisher you can remove the
/var/pkg/publisher/userland directroy.

I think the /var/pkg/cache directroy could be safely removed as a last
resort.
