[OpenIndiana-discuss] GIMP issues loading jpg and png

Hi,

I noticed recently that GIMP is broken, checking back through my BE I 
have to go back to the beginning of December to find a working version.

The error that occurs when loading a jpg are

GIMP Message

Plug-in crashed: "file-jpeg"
(/usr/lib/amd64/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/file-jpeg/file-jpeg)

The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want 
to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.

GIMP Message

Opening '/home/russell/pics/202212_James_Webb_Merging_Galaxies.jpg' failed:

Procedure 'file-jpeg-load' returned no return values


The error that occurs when loading a png are
