Hi Till,
Sorry ... to start from the beginning...
When I buy a Blu Ray or DVD, I digitise them because many of my devices
don't actually have drives these days.
They are, "dumped," to a large network share on one of my OI servers.
In order to sort them, I have to play them and then rename them once
I've identified what they are.
However, trying to rename them now that I've moved from 1.0 results in
a "Resource Temporarily Unavailable" error message and I have to
terminate the video playing, before I can rename.
I looked up the error in syslog and assumed it was related... which it
appears that it might do.
The cache=none does appear to have solved the errors in the syslog, but
my ability to rename a file when it's playing, is still happening.
Confusingly I have two OI servers, built with the same version, at the
same time, and they connect at different vers. One reports 3.0 and the
other reports at 3.1.1 and the mount commands are the same, so I've got
no clue as to how they are connecting at different versions.
I've tried to look up mans for "mount" with the cache option, and I
can't find any that explain that particular option.
I think I'll go find a brick wall somewhere and bash my head against it
for a while :-)
Michelle.
