Just to clarify what happened here, Marcel added a file to an 
IPS-created directory then deleted the only package that caused that 
directory to exist.   IPS deleted the files it managed, moved the 
leftovers to a subdirectory of /var/pkg/lost+found, then deleted the 
directory.
