Time-slider is broken at the moment because nobody cared for it for while.
It's code is still python 2 which is obsolete for quite a while.
You only need time-slider to set-up the configuration for doing snapshots.
The really nice thing when snapshots are properly configured is that you
can use caja (the Mate desktop file manager) to browse in the snapshots
with a gui vaguely similar to what Apple's time machine provides. Of
course you can still configure the snapshots manually to get the same
results.

Any volunteers to take care for time-slider and bring it back to life?
