[OpenIndiana-discuss] Video cards (or not)

Hi
I just tried booting OpenIndiana Hipster 2024.10 on a new PC (AMD Ryzen
9 9900X, Asus Rog Strix X870-A), no video card).
I got as far as choosing the language and trying to start video mode,
which failed. That's not too much of a problem - I can always install
with the text mode installer.
For the moment the PC has Fedora, Windows and FreeBSD on it. Fedora and
Windows are using the AMDGPU for graphics. That doesn't work on FreeBSD
(at least all I get is kernel panics). So on FreeBSD I'm using scfb
(system console frame buffer, basically graphics with no acceleration).
Does OI have an equivalent to that?
Plan B would be to access OI from another PC via ssh. Plan C would be to
get a cheap video card. Money's not really an issue but I would like to
keep my office cool in summer.
A+
Paul
