IIRC this will disable NWAM:
# svcadm enable svc:/network/physical:default
My WAG is the "business" case for continuing to support Sun's
Solaris Network Auto-Magic is to lower the barrier to entry for new OI
developers without your or Gary Mills or Tim Mooney's vast aexperience
configuring resolv.conf(5) and friends which has turned our beards grey.
