[OpenIndiana-discuss] Using xrandr to automatically change display resolution?

Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

I noticed some of the other GUI environments and WMs do this when the
screen is resized specifically with VMWare and/or VirtualBox.  I tried
the following expecting it to automatically change display resolution,
but it does nothing:

 $ xrandr --output default --gamma 1 --auto

I'm using a simple `~/.xsessionrc` with `xterm &; exec /usr/bin/twm`,
not sure if someone can point me to the code doing this (dbus?).
