The problem is that working with A GT 1030 card is not the same as 
working with ALL GT 1030 cards.

Cards get different revisions and PCI IDs.

A few months ago I tried all of the nvida drivers with a card that 
reports as

nvidia0: <NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030> on vgapci0

vgapci0 at pci0:1:0:0:class=0x030000 rev=0xa1 hdr=0x00 vendor=0x10de 
device=0x1d01 subvendor=0x1462 subdevice=0x8c98

on FreeBSD, and none of the drivers worked.
