Hello

A Quick search relvealed [0] And there seems to be a clause that
excluded small companies

Quote:
 >The requirements and obligations of this Directive do not apply to
microenterprises providing services within the scope of this Directive –
whereby ‘microenterprise’ means an enterprise which employs fewer than
10 persons and which has an annual turnover not exceeding €2 million or
an annual balance sheet total not exceeding €2 million.[8]

Since we are below this line even with the Association goals in mind,
this will not target us. What I am not clear about is where the line is
drawn who makes a product in an open source setting. In the case of GIMP
it would be the GIMP developers that make the GIMP "Product" and not us.
Same for Thunderbird. Thunderbird being the currently best funded OSS
project to my knowledge only scratches the 8.6 Million mark. So we will
be ok for quite some time :) [1]

Hope this clarifies things
