Hi Allan
Depending what you want, we have good support for NVME AMD/Intel
Hardware. From the N150 with 4 NVME to a self built server there is much
to recomend.
If you can get an old Workstation from eBay there is a good chance for
it to work, but you should first look at the room setup and noise you
want. If you want more than 4 Disks, try a large case where you can put
an HBA from the HCL in and use a JBOD for the disks.
We have quite a few SAS Controllers from LSI supported. With 16TB or 20
TB disks you can easily get more than 100TB usable storage.
ZFS Calculator also has a HDD price calculator for you to play around with.
If you have some idea which paths xou can go we can make more concrete
suggestions.
