Downloaded xscreensaver 6.15 modified 
xscreensaver-6.15/hacks/glx/platonicfolding.c so that from line 936 
variable sun was replaced with thesun.

$ PATH=/usr/gnu/bin:$PATH ; export PATH
$./configure  prefix=/opt/xscreensaver --with-shadow --with-gtk 
--with-glx --with-pthread --with-jpeg --with-png --with-pixbuf 
--with-xft --with-setuid-hacks --with-record-animation

copied the files from /opt/xscreensaver/libexec/xscreensaver to 
/usr/lib/xscreensaver/hacks/.
copied the files from /opt/xscreensaver/share/xscreensaver/config to 
/usrr/lib/xscreensaver/config/control-center-2.0/.

All the screensavers are now working
