[OpenIndiana-discuss] Firefox with an external password manager

I recently upgraded the OS, from a 2024 upgrade, on my usual
workstation, and got a new Firefox version as a result.  The good news
is that almost everything still works as before.  I did notice one
change in Firefox.  It no longer works with my external password
manager, pwsafe.  Instead, Firefox seems to absorb both my userid and
password from pwsafe, and discard them.  I can still copy and paste
both of them, using my mouse keys.  Firefox can no longer get them
directly from my password manager.

What could be the problem?  Is there a solution?
