[OpenIndiana-discuss] root pw on fresh install?

Hi,

seems the root password is initially set to the one supplied during
installation. In addition to that it's set to expired. Just do a su in
a terminal and provide the password you set, it will report that the
password has expired and prompt for a new one.
After that it should accept the root password and launch the Package Manager.
That behaviour seems intended, though I don't recall a note regarding
that on the password request screen during the installation progress.
