[OpenIndiana-discuss] root pw on fresh install?

Thank you! That took care of the problem with Update/Package Manager.

I think a note either on first login or during setup to the effect
that the root password just set has expired might alleviate some
confusion. I can see how some might feel expiring the root password
at installation time might be a security feature, but I *just* set it
and it seems to go against common sense for it to be expired already.
Because it is expired, it also means that you have to set it to a
*different* password the second time and then run "passwd root", just
so you can set it back.

It doesn't seem to have had any impact on the expected behaviour of
"pfexec bash", though. Am I the only one that does this? Is the
initial user missing a flag somewhere to allow pfexec usage? I can
always "su" if I have to, but I prefer the "pfexec" way of doing
things since I became familiar with it on OpenSolaris.
