[OpenIndiana-discuss] Should Realtek Card Reader be working in OI?

Hello,

   I tried to plug an SD card into the card reader on my
Lenovo E335 laptop, and "format -e" as well as other
removable media automagic did not find the card.

   The reader is recognized by scanpci as a PCI Express
device, but googling around I have a hunch that in may
in fact be attached to internal USB - and remains unseen
due to absence of USB3 xhci driver. The reader does
however seem to have its own vendor and PCI id's.

   I'm away from the laptop now, so won't make up these
id numbers; if needed I can send them in a later post.

Any ideas?
