For mail, a good solution for centralized administration is that all but 
one system can be configured to forward all of their mail to a single 
"mailhost" system, and then only the single "real" mailhost needs to 
know about the aliases.

Provided you don't need to have a mailbox like "root" to go to different 
users based on system.
