[OpenIndiana-discuss] Installing mate and enabling lightdm

For the sake of any folks new to OpenIndiana (such as myself), I wanted 
to loosely document the process of installing the mate desktop and 
enabling lightdm.

1) Install the MATE desktop meta package (sudo pkg install mate_install)
2) Close out running applications and boot into single user mode (sudo 
init s).
3) Authenticate as root user
4) Disable the Gnome Desktop Manager (svcadm disable gdm)
5) Enable the LightDM desktop manager (svcadm enable lightdm)
6) Exit single user mode (exit)

There might be more elegant ways of doing this, but the steps above 
worked for me.
