[OpenIndiana-discuss] PulseAudio on OI hipster

hey guys

i noticed that OI-hipster automatically pulled in PulseAudio pkg during last upgrade.  was that necessary?  i'm under the impression that OI has its own sound system.

while playing a youtube clip yesterday on my hipster system, i noticed sound pops and noises on regular intervals.  while watching same clip on windows and linux(no PA installed), it doesn't produce any pops.
