As said , people would need to invest large amount of money and work to
make ARM port viable,
and besides that is illumos - level issue at first and userland/OI second.
I am sure assertion it is right supporting 64-bit ARM , with ECC support
(like those server parts that AMD is selling and other server parts
producers). I don't think supporting 32bit ARM without ECC RAM is the
serious production option.
If there is an large interest to supporting working ARM port in some
timeframe,
there could be organized fund and working group and project for under
the illumos.
