[OpenIndiana-discuss] Audio with multiple devices

Hi

I've been fiddling with sound and discovered that I can use a USB headset so the Logitech H650e works great.
If I understand correctly :
- Pulseaudio is configured to use /dev/audio (sources/sink)
- Solaris audio /dev/audio point to the proper /dev/sound/[Device number]

What I'd like to do is, use:
- the mic input from a usb device
- the output using the onboard sound card

What are my options ? 
I could configure pulseaudio to expose multiple device ? like sink using /dev/audio and source using /dev/sound/1
What about application using directly OSS drivers (i.e. VirtualBox) ?
