Hi!

$ svcs -a|grep hal
online         12:03:45 svc:/system/hal:default

This is a relatively fresh install (i *think* it was text, i chose 
something minimal),
and the pcfs partition of my test-usb-thumbdrive is not mounted magically.
So it seems another "something" is missing..
