It's easy to reproduce.

If I install OI 2020.04 then run pkg update, I get 'openindiana zfs' vdev_disk_open devid mismatch messages logged in /var/adm/messages as kern.notice

Followed by a NOTICE of update devid from ... to ...

However for me

1) this notice does not appear I install the new OI 2022.11 ISO image, then run pkg update,

and 2) it has never caused a problem for reboot or /lib/svc/bin/restore_repository etc. or any real problem for me (I think)

I am just using a single hard disk SATA in a Dell Precision workstation (UEFI boot).

I've opened a bug at https://www.illumos.org/issues/15249 which I logged for illumos although it may be an OpenIndiana issue.

Regards,
David Stes
