Hi Marcel,

I had begun looking into this, but got sidetracked putting out fires. 
Now that my workstation is at least booting again, I have some time to 
work on this again.  Presently I am learning about OI packaging and 
attempting to work through the process on dwdiff.  I'll put in a PR and 
report back when I have something to show.
