[OpenIndiana-discuss] Cannot open an image (jpeg, jpg, png) with gimp

I had the same problem. Updating to the latest version of OpenIndiana 
(2025.04) fixed it, though.

When I was experiencing the problem, I found that opening the file in 
"Eye of MATE" and copying the image and pasting it into GIMP often worked.
