Hi, Reg
Not all members that wanted to donate wanted to be members. Member fees are automatically Paid through donations but thats just bookkeeping for taxes.
So yes signing up is Donating and sending a mail.

Would someone please help out by implementing a policy that donors are automatically made members? Atiq has a PR for a donation button for the OI home web page to take the user to the donation page. Could we get that reviewed and installed?

A logical means is for the bounty to be paid to OIDA in advance. When the requirements, e.g. bug fix or feature request, are met and committed to the main repository, the person submitting the work gets paid.
